Annunziato Siviglia

Annunziato Siviglia is Associate Professor in Hydraulics, and he joined the University of Trento in 2019. For seven years, from 2013, he was employed as a senior scientist at the Laboratory of Hydraulics, Hydraulic, and Glaciology of ETH Zurich.

His research focuses on three different topics. The first is in the field of environmental fluid mechanics and ecomorphodynamics, with a special emphasis on river systems. The research activity deals with the development of numerical modeling and the understanding of ecomorphodynamic processes of rivers. The second aspect focuses on the analysis of the physical processes and ecological impacts generated by water releases from hydro-power plants and the third is on the development of numerical methods of the finite volume type particularly suitable for the solution of partial differential equations governing environmental problems.
