Internship Abroad

The Internship Abroad program of the University of Trento offers students internship opportunities at institutions around the world. The internship differs according to the geographical area.

European Countries

Thanks to the funds of the European Erasmus program, UniTrento students can carry out internships in the Programme Countries by participating in the open call throughout the year (see Internship abroad Erasmus countries)

Non-European Countries

With funds from the University of Trento, internships abroad in non-European countries are financed. Interested students can apply for the call open throughout the year (see Internship outside non-European countries).

The internship can be of two types:

  • curricular: within the training course, intended for students who have credits of internship or "other activities" recognizable in career; internships recognized as supernumerary are not eligible for funding through mobility calls;
  • postgraduate: to be held after obtaining the title and to be completed within 12 months from the date of graduation. However, the application must be submitted before the final examination is discussed.

Recognition of the traineeship

Once you have completed your internship experience abroad, you can apply for recognition of credits in your career, if provided for in your study plan. The student must deliver to the International Mobility Office the Traineeship Certificate completed and signed by the Host Body in the original. After the delivery of the documentation, the International Mobility Office will update the career in Esse3, registering the credits provided by the study plan for the internship activity. This procedure does not apply to trainee students who are new graduates.
